From Hannah, Joey and little Emmylou of Ramblin’ Sol Farm:
“We are excited to announce that Ramblin’ Sol Farm and its farmers are moving to their forever home just down the road from our current location!
As our name implies, Ramblin’ Sol Farm was born from two lives in endless flux. Our constant was working outdoors in the sunshine in order to soothe our restless, slightly bruised spirits.
When we came to Cream Ridge we thought it was just another stop on our endless journey. We had hoped it was more than a three year plan, but we certainly weren’t expecting to settle in permanently.
Trying not to think too far ahead, we found ourselves unintentionally putting down roots and building a network of amazing people, including our rockstar CSA members like Christie and John.
This past summer Christie officially upended our plans of lifelong rambling, by suggesting that she sell us their beautiful Keiki Farm in order to honor her husband’s deep love for organic farming and for this community.
Keiki Farm, meaning little one, is a cozy 8 acre farm and homestead that will allow us to grow our family, food, and community in the ways in which we had always dreamed. Small scale, diverse farms like ours are unique in that they need more than just open land. Our type of operation requires access to water, electricity, and structures to sprout, grow, cure, and store our various crops. We also need to be able to live on our property in order to properly care for our plants. Keiki farm offers all of this and more, making Christie’s proposal truly one we couldn’t refuse.
While John is no longer with us, we hope that Ramblin’ Sol Farm and the community it has cultivated, will allow his memory and his vision for this piece of earth to live on and flourish. We hope that this little farm will become your happy place as it has already become ours.
We are so thankful to everyone who has supported us these past couple of years and special thanks to Spring Wind Farm for sharing their beautiful property with us while we built Ramblin’ Sol. “
